Rising star Laura Mullin beat off stiff competition to be awarded Trainee Solicitor of the Year by

the Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division Committee at their recent annual ball.

Over £1,000 raised for Crisis

Laura has been a trainee at Emerald Law since graduating from the University of Liverpool and BBP Law School and specialises in a range of areas including personal injury, wills, probate and commercial litigation.

Laura also plays an active role in the Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division and was elected in 2017 as a Social Representative for the group. She has organised a number of events which have raised thousands of pounds such as the recent charity ball which raised over £1,300 for chosen charity Crisis.

On top of her work and MJLD commitments, Laura is a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Integrated Education AlumNI, a cause very close to her heart. This group was set up to promote awareness of the importance of integrated education as a means toward lasting peace in Northern Ireland.

Busy Laura’s commitments don’t stop there. She also sits as a Board Trustee for Irish Community Care, a charity which helps to support and respond to the needs of Irish and the Irish Travelling Community across Merseyside and beyond.

Laura said ‘I was absolutely delighted to be nominated for the Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division Star Trainee Solicitor of 2017. I was up against some very tough competition and I am extremely honoured to have received the award.’
