Your Will

Your Will is a valuable and powerful document. Not only does it show those you wish to benefit that you cared for their wellbeing – but it can be a useful tool for reducing potential tax liability – to nil in some cases.

We will give you advice relevant to your personal circumstances, planning ahead – whether by Will, Trust or Powers of Attorney.  We are also there to help you deal with affairs in the event of a death providing a sensitive and cost effective service.

If you have children, property, a business or even just belongings that are dear to you, we can help you to ensure your wishes are carried out in your Will.  By making a Will you can decide who looks after your estate and what happens to your belongings. If you have children you can indicate who will look after them and how they will be financially provided for.

There are many family set ups today, live in Partners, Civil Partnerships, second families, non related children treated as ‘children of the family’ and we can discuss with you the best way to deal with your estate in your Will in those circumstances.  We will strive to protect your loved ones, and avoid or reduce any claims being made against your estate.

Powers of Attorney

There are two Lasting Powers of Attorney.  By planning ahead you can retain control over who looks after you and your estate when you are no longer able to do so because of illness, injury, or loss of faculties.  You can choose who will take care of your wellbeing, and who is best suited to take care of your finances.  Powers of Attorney can give great peace of mind.

Living Will

You may leave advance directives for your treatment in the case of serious injury or illness.

Inheritance Disputes and Claims

We can provide advice in respect of contested inheritances, disputes over Wills, claims for beneficiaries and children, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, attempts to substitute a statutory will, and disputes over Powers of Attorney.
